One of the victims was an off-duty Cook County courts deputy who has worked for sheriff's office for 11 years, the Tribune reported. The shooting happened at 3:27 a.m. in the 1200 block of North State Street, police said.

A 39-year-old man was grazed in the head and taken to Northwestern Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said. A 30-year-old was hit in the lower back and taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition, police said. And a 33-year-old man was hit in the leg and taken to Northwestern Hospital where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.
