NORTH CENTER — Pink Pussyhats became an instantly iconic symbol of last Saturday's women's marches, and interest is still high in the vaguely cat-eared shaped knit caps.

Knit 1, 3856 N. Lincoln Ave., which served as an official ally of the Pussyhat Project and held knit-ins in advance of the marches, continues to sell out of pink yarn as knitters receive orders for the hats from family and friends.

To build on this momentum, the shop is offering a Pussyhat class for beginning knitters — absolutely no experience necessary.

The class is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Feb. 4. The $60 fee includes yarn and needles. To register, click here.
