CHICAGO — A thief stole a car with a 10-year-old boy inside in Hermosa on Tuesday morning, police said.
At 5:47 a.m., the thief got into a car that was left running in the 2000 block of North Kildare Avenue and drove away, police said. The 10-year-old boy was sitting in the back seat of the car, and the thief dropped the child off four blocks away.
The boy walked back to his home and was "safe and unharmed," police said.
No one was in custody.
