CHICAGO — A shooting in Austin killed Jamayah Fields, 20, early Monday, officials said.
At 1:54 a.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot and found the woman in the 5000 block of West Maypole Avenue, police said. The woman had been shot in her head.
Fields, of South Bend, Indiana, was later pronounced dead, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
