CHICAGO — Juan Vasquez, 35, died a week and a half after being shot in Gage Park, police said.
At 3:04 a.m. Dec. 31, the man was driving in the 5600 block of South Albany Avenue when he was shot in his head, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
Vasquez, of the 300 block of West 53rd Street, was pronounced dead at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 11, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound in his head in a homicide.
