CHICAGO — A man was badly burned during a domestic dispute Monday morning on the Far South Side, police said.

At 2:30 a.m., the 18-year-old was arguing with someone in the 11500 block of South Lafayette Avenue when the other person threw an accelerant on the man, police said.

The man was burned and he was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

A person was in custody, police said.
