Paramedic Sexually Abused While Transporting Man From Car Crash, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man has been charged with hitting and sexually abusing a paramedic after he was in a car crash, police said.

At 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, an ambulance took away Roy Hall from the scene of a car crash, according to a Chicago Police news release. While Hall was being transported, he hit and sexually abused a 36-year-old paramedic who was in the ambulance in the first block of East Erie Street, police said.

The paramedic had minor injuries and was treated and released from Northwestern Hospital, police said.

Hall, 72, of the 7700 block of South Calumet Avenue, was charged with aggravated battery of a protected employee and attempted aggravated sex abuse, police said. He was scheduled to appear in bond court on Friday.
