Shootings Wound 6 People Since Tuesday, Police Say

CHICAGO — Six people have been wounded in shootings since Tuesday, police said.

• At 2:34 a.m. Wednesday, a 31-year-old man was shot in Gage Park, police said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 2800 block of West 55th Street when a white car drove up and someone inside fired shots at him.

The man was hit in his leg and chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

• At 12:50 a.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Washington Heights, police said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 10100 block of South Parnell Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his left leg and was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 22-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, police said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 1800 block of South Drake Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his right leg and he took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 9:10 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, police said. The man was walking in the 1500 block of South Kolin Avenue when a car drove up and someone inside fired shots at the man.

The man was hit in his back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition, police said.

• At 2:32 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in Morgan Park.

• At 1:53 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, police said. The man was in the 4400 block of West Van Buren Street when he got into a fight with a person he knew. The person took out a gun and fired shots.

The man was hit in his left thigh and knee and was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition, police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
