CHICAGO — The Postal Service is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information about the robbery of a letter carrier Wednesday on the Far South Side.

About 1 p.m., the letter carrier was robbed at gunpoint by two men in the 2200 block of East Van Vlissingen Road, according to a Postal Service news release.

One man was black, 28-30 years old, 6-foot tall, with a medium build and unshaven with black dreadlocks, the Postal Service said. He wore a hooded sweatshirt and had a gun.

The other man was black, 28-30 years old, 5-foot-6, of a large build and unshaven with black dreadlocks, the Postal Service said. The man wore a green and brown camouflage hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 312-747-8372 or the Postal Service at 877-876-2455.
