CHICAGO — Two people have been killed and six wounded in shootings since Monday, police said.

• At 7:44 p.m. Monday, a 26-year-old man was found shot multiple times in his body and head in Hermosa. He later died.

• At 9:47 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot to death and another man critically wounded in Austin.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 1:52 a.m. Tuesday, a 32-year-old man was shot in Chatham, police said. The man was sitting in a parked car in the 7700 block of South Indiana Avenue when a man walked up and fired shots at him.

The victim was hit twice in his back and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

• At 11:51 p.m. Monday, a 27-year-old woman was shot in Roseland, police said. The woman was walking on the sidewalk in the 200 block of West 111th Place when a man walked up and demanded she give him her money.

The woman said she had no money and the man fired shots, hitting the woman in her legs, police said. The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where her condition was not available but she was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 11:40 p.m., a 37-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was sitting in a parked car in the 700 block of North Long Avenue when two men walked up to him and fired shots at him.

The victim was hit in his left arm and was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

•  At 3:10 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in Austin, police said. The boy was walking in the 300 block of North Laramie Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The boy was hit in his buttocks and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 11:14 a.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in Bronzeville, police said. The man was getting into his car in the 4500 block of West Vincennes Avenue when someone in a passing van fired three or four shots at the man.

The man was hit in his left leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.
