CHICAGO — The city might get a little snow on Monday night, but things will be warmer the rest of the week.

Monday will see temperatures rise to the upper 20s by 5 p.m., but the evening will also have "spotty" precipitation that comes as snow, sleet or maybe even freezing rain, said AccuWeather meteorologist Tom Kines.

Later on in the night the precipitation should change into rain, Kines said, and the showers will continue throughout Tuesday.

Things get less gray after that, though: Tuesday and the rest of the week should be relatively warm with temperatures in the 40s (which feels practically summery after the single-digit weather we faced last week).

Tuesday will hit 45 degrees, Kines said, and Wednesday will reach the lower 40s, though it'll also have more rain showers. Thursday should see temperatures in the mid- to upper 30s.

Prepare for more cold on Friday, though, when temperatures fall back into the 20s.
