CHICAGO — Shootings left one dead and 16 wounded since Monday morning, police said.

• At 5:51 p.m. Monday, a 23-year-old man was shot dead in Back of the Yards, police said.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 12:48 a.m. Tuesday, a 25-year-old woman was shot in East Garfield Park, police said.

She was sitting in a parked car in the 3500 block of West Van Buren Street when someone in a car drove up and fired shots, police said.

She was hit in her buttocks and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

• At 11:34 p.m. Monday, two teenage girls, ages 13 and 14, were shot in Gresham, police said.

• At 10:50 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot on the Near West Side, police said.

He was standing outside in the 200 block of South Leavitt Street when someone in a silver Ford Fusion drove up and shouted gang slogans and fired shots, police said.

The 23-year-old was grazed in his right arm and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

The victim is a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 8:55 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in West Humboldt Park, police said.

He was in the 800 block of North Keeler Avenue when someone in a gray car fired shots and drove off, police said.

He was hit in his buttocks and was taken to Cook County Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, police said.

• At 9:25 a.m., a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were shot in Park Manor, police said.

• At 7:23 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in West Englewood, police said.

• At 5:38 p.m., a 34-year-old man was shot in Back of the Yards, police said.

• At 4:26 p.m., a 45-year-old man was shot in West Garfield Park, police said.

He was in front of a home in the 4100 block of West Arthington Street when a man got out of a car and began to argue with him before firing a handgun, police said.

The 45-year-old was hit in his chest and arm and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition, police said.

• At 3:25 p.m., a 20-year-old man and a 35-year-old man were shot in Englewood, police said.

• At 2:47 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in Chatham, police said.

• At 11:20 a.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, police said.

He was walking in the 1800 block of South Ridgeway Avenue when someone approached him and talked to him before firing shots, police said.

He was hit in both of his legs and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition, police said.

• At 10:40 a.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said.

• At 9:25 a.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in West Garfield Park, police said.

He was driving in a car in the 4400 block of West Van Buren Street when shots were fired, police said. He then fled the car and 911 was called in the 300 block of South Kostner Avenue.

He was hit in his leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody for these shootings.
