Bridgeport Armed Robberies Lead To Police Alert

CHICAGO — Bridgeport residents are asked to the lookout after a pair of armed robberies in the area, police said.

At least two people have been robbed by two armed men since Thursday, police said in a community alert.

In the incidents, the two men walk up to their victims before demanding their belongings, police said.

The first reported robbery happened late Thursday in the 2900 block of South Bonfield Street, police said. The second incident happened late Friday in the 1300 block of West 32nd Street, police said.

Police described the robbers as black men, ages 20 to 24, standing 5-foot-9 to 6-feet and weighing 140-150 pounds.
