Police To Crack Down On Drunken Drivers In Albany Park This Weekend

ALBANY PARK — Roving police officers will be on the lookout for drunken drivers and people speeding Friday night during a DUI Strike Force Patrol planned for the Albany Park Police District.

Officers will also be looking for people not wearing seatbelts and other violations.

The strike force patrol will run from 7 p.m. Friday-3 a.m. Saturday.

The Albany Park Police District is bounded by Devon and Belmont avenues to the north and south, and Cicero Avenue and the Chicago River to the west and east.

Communities in the district include Albany Park, Avondale, Irving Park, Mayfair, North Mayfair, North Park and Ravenswood Manor.

During a July DUI Strike Force in the Albany Park District, officers nabbed three drunk drivers and issued more than 60 tickets.
