Washington Park Shooting Wounds Man, 25, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Washington Park wounded a 25-year-old man Wednesday morning, police said.

At 8:50 a.m., the man was working in the 300 block of East 51st Street when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

The man was shot in his right forearm, police said. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.

Police originally said the shooting took place in the 5100 block of South King Drive.
