North Lawndale Shooting Wounds Man Standing Outside, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in North Lawndale wounded a 35-year-old man on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

At 2:05 p.m., the man was standing in the 1100 block of South Francisco Avenue when a white car drove up and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The shooter drove away in the car and no one was in custody.
