CHICAGO — A home daycare in Rogers Park is being investigated after a toddler died Wednesday, officials said.

About 1:30 pm.., the boy was found unresponsive in the 1500 block of West Pratt Boulevard, police said. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital.

Emmanuel Noibi, 1, of the 6600 block of North Ashland Avenue, was pronounced dead at 1:29 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Department of Children and Family Services was investigating a home daycare provider for allegations of neglect, a DCFS spokeswoman said.

The daycare provider voluntarily suspended caring for children pending the outcome of the investigation, DCFS said.

A Chicago Police Department spokesman said the department was notified of the child's death, but did not immediately have further information available Friday.
