West Ridge Shooting Wounds Man, 32, After Struggle With Gunman

CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man was shot and wounded Wednesday night in West Ridge, police said.

At 11:17 p.m., the man was a passenger in a car parked in the 7000 block of North Washtenaw Avenue when a man walked up and they got into a struggle, police said. Shots were fired, hitting the 32-year-old man.

The man was shot in his abdomen, pelvis and thigh, police said. The driver of the car the man was in took him to St. Francis Hospital, where the man was in critical condition.

No one was in custody.
