WEST TOWN — Chicago salt makers known for the umbrella toting "Morton Salt Girl" have updated their branding for the first time in 168 years — and it's a bright and explosive slow-motion music video that wants to encourage people to take a moment to make a difference.

"The One Moment," music video, featuring a song from OK Go's 2014 "Hungry Ghosts" album, was created in collaboration with the award-winning rock band and Morton Salt.

The Chicago-based band published the video on its Facebook page early Wednesday and it already has over 550,000 views.

The campaign also features five “difference-makers” to inspire others to take the first step toward making a real, positive impact in the world, Morton Salt said in a news release.

Though “The One Moment” is a nearly 3-minute long video, it covers 4.2 seconds of real time.

Officials say the brand platform is punctuated by the Morton Salt Girl and her “Walk Her Walk” mantra, which is "a call to action for people to step up and become a force for good."
