CHICAGO — Deshawn Lamont Adams, 20, was fatally shot in an East Garfield Park drive-by Tuesday evening, authorities said.
At 5:49 p.m., the man was standing in the 3500 block of West Van Buren Street when a dark-colored car drove by and someone inside began firing, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was struck in his chest and head and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Pacheco said.
Adams lived in the 1600 block of South Central Park Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No arrests have been made.
