Riverdale Shooting Wounds Man, Woman, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Riverdale wounded a man and woman on Tuesday, police said.

At 5:28 p.m., the man and woman were outside in the 13200 block of South King Drive when a car drove by and someone inside fired shots, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man, 44, was hit in his chest, back and leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, Tannehill said. The woman, 55, was hit in her right leg and was taken to Roseland Community Hospital in fair condition.

No one was in custody.
