WICKER PARK — The start of holiday shopping in Wicker Park and Bucktown will have its own soundtrack, thanks to more than 60 local musicians scheduled to perform free shows in stores throughout the neighborhood as part of the fourth annual "ChillFest."

On Monday, the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce announced the artists and venues for the free acoustic musical festival, set to take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 26, known as "Small Business Saturday," an alternative to the day after Thanksgiving "Black Friday" shopping surge.

Organizers say the festival "celebrates the creative and entrepreneurial roots of the Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods" and attendees are encouraged to "stroll from venue to venue, taking in the live music sets while shopping, sitting down for a drink or experiencing local art."

Participating artists for this year's ChillFest include pop-folk duo FUTURE STUFF, alternative group The Fox & the Hounds and female hip-hop artist Pinqy Ring.

Each participating business owner will host up to four artists in a dedicated portion of their space, with musicians playing acoustic sets, paired as closely as possible to the venue’s ambiance.
