CHICAGO — An Austin shooting Sunday afternoon killed a man, according to authorities.
At around 4:25 p.m., the man was in the 4900 block of West West End Avenue when he was shot in the torso, police said.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition before he was pronounced dead around 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The man was identified as Travis Harris, 18, of the 4900 block of West West End Avenue, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.
An autopsy showed Harris died of a gunshot wound in his back in a homicide.
