Luis Corona, 19, Killed In Robbery In Archer Heights, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was killed while trying to get away from robbers in Archer Heights Saturday night, according to police.

The man was sitting in a parked car in the 4800 block of South Karlov Avenue at 8:05 p.m. when two men walked up and tried to rob him, police said.

The victim tried to drive away but was shot in his chest, police said. His car then struck two parked cars, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

He has been identified as Luis Corona, of the 6100 block of South Moody Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No arrests have been made.
