Woodlawn Shooting Wounds Man, 19, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Woodlawn on Friday, police said.

At 4:45 p.m., the man was standing on the sidewalk in the 6300 block of South Eberhart Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in his right leg and took himself to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.
