CHICAGO — A 39-year-old man was stabbed to death Tuesday morning in North Lawndale, police said.
At 8:50 a.m., the man was in the 1400 block of South Avers Avenue when he got into a fight with someone he knew and the person stabbed him in his chest and ran away, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Pacheco said.
The man was identified as Lamar Watson, of the same block where he was killed, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Watson was pronounced dead at 9:20 a.m.
No one was in custody.
