LINCOLN SQUARE — It goes without saying that a lot of folks will be planning their weekend around a certain baseball game on Saturday.
For everyone else, here are six fun things to do in and around the neighborhood.
• Get into the spirit of Halloween at St. Ben's Fright Walk haunted house, 7-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 2215 W. Irving Park Road. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased in advance online or at the door.
• Tickets are still available for Friday's Spirits of Ravenswood, at the Ravenswood Event Center, 4025 N. Ravenswood Ave. The event, scheduled for 7-11 p.m., will feature tasting samples from Koval Distillery, Begyle Brewing and more to raise funds for Ravenswood Community Services' food pantry and community kitchen.
• The Book Cellar hosts Audrey Niffenegger ("The Time Traveler's Wife") and Gina Frangello ("A Life in Men") for a reading and conversation, 6 p.m. Saturday, 4736 N. Lincoln Ave.
• Pick up gently used items for kids at Queen of Angels Children's Resale Shop, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, 4520 N. Western Ave. Clothing, toys, books, baby gear and more for youngsters ages 0 to 10. Admission is $1 between 8 and 11:30 a.m.; free noon to 1 p.m., when all prices will be reduced 50 percent.
• Soak up some culture at the Lincoln Square Artwalk Market, featuring a juried exhibit, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at DANK Haus, 4740 N. Western Ave.
• Pitch in at Revere Park's fall cleanup, 9 a.m. to noon, Sunday, 2509 W. Irving Park Road. Tools and coffee will be provided.
