WICKER PARK — Fast-growing Insomnia Cookies will celebrate the chain's 100th location on Monday by offering a free cookie with the purchase of any cookie at all of its outposts in 28 states, it was recently announced.
“We couldn’t have made it to 100 stores without the efforts of our team members and the immense loyalty of our fans across the country,” said David Lasus, Chief Operating Officer of Insomnia Cookies. “What better way to celebrate the occasion than by giving away free cookies.”
The celebratory deal is available In-store and delivery on Monday. The cost per cookie is $1.60.
Insomnia Cookies' 87th location opened last spring in Wicker Park at 1537 N. Milwaukee Ave., just south of the Milwaukee, Damen and North avenues intersection.
The city's two other Insomnia Cookies are in Lincoln Park, at 2260 N. Lincoln Ave., and Rogers Park, at 6470 N. Sheridan Ave.
It is unclear where the chain's 100th location is, but Hoboken, New Jersey just welcomed a new Insomnia Cookies, according to a report.
Insomnia Cookies has corporate offices in New York City and Philadelphia. The idea for the cookie delivery chain was born in a University of Pennsylvania dorm room in 2003.
