GRAND BOULEVARD — A shooting in Grand Boulevard on Wednesday killed Christopher Walters, 24, authoirities said.
At 6:57 p.m., Walters in the 4700 block of South Prairie Avenue when he was shot in his leg and shoulder, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. He was taken to Northwestern Hospital.
Walters, of the 6200 block of South Champlain Avenue, was pronounced dead at 7:49 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
He was a documented gang member, police said.
No further information is available, police said.
