CHICAGO — A shooting in West Pullman left Jamar Robinson, 23, dead early Tuesday, police said.
At 6:58 a.m., officers found Robinson unresponsive in the 700 block of West 117th Place, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Robinson had been shot in his chest and was taken to Metro South Medical Center, Amezaga said.
Robinson, of suburban Harvey, was pronounced dead at 7:05 a.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound in his chest in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
