Roti To Open Thursday On Michigan Avenue, Give Out Free Lunch

DOWNTOWN — Roti is opening a new store Thursday near Millennium Park, and it's very likely you could eat for free.

The restaurant in Mila tower, 200 N. Michigan Ave., is the sixth in Chicago for Roti, an assembly-line-style Mediterranean chain. The menu includes kabobs and falafel, but the restaurant will also serve craft beers from Goose Island, Half Acre and Revolution breweries, as well as wine and house cocktails.

Roti is also giving away food for its grand opening. Customers who donate to Inspiration Corporation from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday will receive any entree and beverage for free. Any donation will be accepted. Inspiration Corporation is a local non-profit that provides job training and other services to homeless people. 

The chain will also give away free lunch to an entire year to the winner of an Instagram contest. Those interested can a post photo tagging @RotiModernMed and using the hashtag #LiveMagnificently. A winner will be chosen after Thursday's opening.

The new restaurant will be open regularly from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. weekdays, and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. weekends. 

Roti also has restaurants at 200 W. Randolph St., 10 S. Riverside Plaza, 310 W. Adams St., 33 N. Dearborn St., and Ogilvie Transportation Center's MetraMarket.
