CHICAGO — Shootings have left one person dead and nine wounded since Wednesday, police said.

• At 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, a 36-year-old man was shot and killed while driving in South Shore.

In non-fatal shootings:

• Most recently, at 12:02 a.m. Thursday, a 34-year-old man was shot while driving in Jefferson Park.

• At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, three men were shot in Austin, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The men were walking on the sidewalk in the 800 block of North Waller Avenue when someone in a white sedan drove past and fired shots before driving away.

A 23-year-old man was hit in his abdomen and was taken to Loyola Hospital in critical condition, Lemmon said.

Another 23-year-old man was hit in his left wrist and right hand and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, and a 21-year-old man was hit in his right arm and back and was taken to Stroger Hospital, Lemmon said. Their conditions were not available but they were listed as "stable," Lemmon said.

• At 6:30 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot and wounded in Austin.

• At 2:49 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot while sitting in front of a home in Englewood.

• At 1:24 p.m., a 27-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Greater Grand Crossing.

• At 12:45 p.m., a 19-year-old woman and 20-year-old man were shot in Back of the Yards.

No one was in custody.
