Daley Plaza's Fountain Is Bright Blue For The Cubs

DOWNTOWN — Daley Plaza's fountain is bright blue for the Cubs.

The fountain outside the Daley Center, 50 W. Washington St., was dyed blue at the start of the National League Division Series, said spokeswoman Christine Carrino. It'll remain blue as long as the Cubs are playing.

The colorful fountain isn't the only show of Cubs pride around town: Downtown buildings will turn their lights blue at points between now and Nov. 4 in support of the team, some buildings are waving the "W" flag, and Clark, the Cubs' mascot, appeared in Daley Plaza last week.

The Cubs knocked the Giants out of the playoffs on Tuesday night. They'll next face the Dodgers or Nationals in the National League Championship Series Saturday.
