CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was killed and a 36-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Belmont Cragin early Tuesday, police said.

At 12:06 a.m., the two men were in a car traveling in the 1800 block of North Laramie Avenue when someone shot at them from another car nearby, police said.

The 24-year-old was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital after being shot in his buttocks and left hand, police said. He was later pronounced dead.

The older man was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where he was considered "stable" with a graze wound in his head, police said.

No one was in custody, police said.
