GAGE PARK — An 18-year-old man was shot once in each leg in Gage Park late Sunday morning, police said.

Around 11 a.m., the man was standing in the 5900 block of South Maplewood Avenue when someone shot at him from a passing gray car, according to Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man's family drove him to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was was considered "stable" with gunshot wounds in his left thigh and lower right leg, Tannehill said.

Police said the man did not cooperate with authorities.
