CHICAGO — This week will start off cool and fall-like before getting warmer for the weekend.

Monday will be particularly breezy and will hit just 66 degrees, below the normal temperature of 71 degrees, said AccuWeather meteorologist Dave Samuhel. It could feel even cooler because the city's had relatively warm weather lately, with Sunday hitting 80 degrees.

The day might start cloudy, but it should be mostly sunny and rain-free, Samuhel said.

"We've been so warm lately, it's going to feel cool out there," Samuhel said. "If you want some fall-like weather, Monday is the day. It'll be blustery. The wind will be pretty gusty out there."

Tuesday will be partly sunny and cool with a high of 66 degrees, Samuhel said. There could be some showers during the night into Wednesday morning, but that's the only rain expected to hit the city this week. Wednesday will see a high temperature in the upper 60s.

Thursday is expected to hit 70 degrees, and Friday will top out at 73 degrees, Samuhel said. They should be sunny days without rain, and there is expected to be less wind than there was earlier in the week.

"Almost any day should turn out good," Samuhel said.
