CHICAGO — Three men were killed and another four were wounded in shootings on the city's South and West Sides between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, police said.

At 12:35 a.m. Wednesday, a 51-year-old man was fatally shot during an argument in Back of the Yards.

Less than 10 minutes later, two men died after apparently shooting at each other in West Pullman.

• Most recently, at 1:39 a.m., officers found a 33-year-old man who had been shot in his hip and both feet in the 3300 block of West Harrison Street in East Garfield Park, according to a police incident report.

The man gave officers a description of the car the shooters were driving, and which direction it had gone, police said. The officers later found the car getting onto the expressway, where someone tossed guns out the window.

The car got off the expressway near Western Avenue and crashed into a pole, police said. Two suspects were taken into custody after "a brief foot chase."

Officers recovered two guns, and charges are pending against the suspects, police said.

The 33-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

• At 3:45 p.m., a 44-year-old man was walking in the 5700 block of South Prairie Avenue in Washington Park when he heard gunshots and pain, according to Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound in his right arm, Tannehill said. Police could not provide the man's condition but said he was "stable."

An 18-year-old man was also walking on the block when he heard gunshots and felt pain in his right leg, Tannehill said. An acquaintance brought him to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was considered "stable."

• At 2:50 p.m., a 65-year-old man was shot in his arm while working on a car in Humboldt Park.
