ENGLEWOOD — A 16-year-old boy was shot in his right shoulder in Englewood Monday evening, police said.
At 8:28 p.m., the boy was walking on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of West 71st Street when he passed a group of men and "shots were fired," according to a police incident report.
The boy brought himself to Comer Children's Hospital, and he was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was stable.
Police said the boy is a documented gang member.
No one is in custody, police said.
