CHICAGO — It'll be a gloomy weekend for Chicago — at least until we get to Sunday.

Friday night will be hot — even the expected low temperature of 67 degrees is 10 degrees warmer than the average low for this time of year — and rain and thunderstorms will hit, said AccuWeather meteorologist Steve Travis.

Saturday will be "dreary," too: It isn't expected to rain, but it will be a mostly cloudy day, Travis said. There will be some sunshine in the afternoon and a gradual drop in humidity throughout the day, but it'll also be 80 degrees.

Sunday will see lots of sunshine with low humidity, Travis said. It will hit 77 degrees and should be a "beautiful day," though  next week will be even warmer, Travis said.
