RAVENSWOOD — It's September and you know what that means — Oktoberfest.
True to its name, Band of Bohemia is throwing a bash that's light on the oom-pah-pah and heavy, instead, on the gypsy jazz, but there will still be plenty of beer.
The Caravan Art Festival is set for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, taking over the private parking lot adjacent to the culinary brewhouse and extending into the restaurant itself, 4710 N. Ravenswood Ave., which will swap out its traditional service for the fest.
In addition to serving its own brews and a special festival food menu, Band of Bohemia will be tapping its Sunday in Saigon saison collaboration with Half Acre. Dark Matter Coffee will be on hand as well, pouring caffeinated beverages.
Enjoy live music, 2 p.m. 6 p.m., featuring performances from Green Mill favorites Alfonso Ponticelli & Swing Gitan as well as the Gipsy Stringz Quartet.
Organizers have also promised "general folderol" in the form of a growler ring toss, strolling magician and other carnival games.
Admission to the fest is $5, plus the cost of food and drink tickets.
