DOWNTOWN — "Chicago Med" filming will shut down some streets in Grant Park this week.

The NBC drama will shoot a "marathon-like" race with runners, barricades and tents Monday and Tuesday in the Downtown park, city officials say.

The filming will close the following streets to traffic:

6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday: eastbound Congress Parkway between Congress Plaza and Columbus Drive.

6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday: eastbound Congress Parkway between Congress Circle Plaza and Columbus Drive.

2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday: eastbound Balbo Drive between Columbus and Lake Shore Drive.

Traffic on Michigan Avenue and Columbus won't be affected, city officials said.

"Chicago Med," which debuted last year, is one of the growing number of TV shows filming full time in Chicago. The show's new season premieres at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22.
