CHICAGO — Shootings across the city have left one person dead and 10 wounded since Thursday.
• At 9:18 a.m. Thursday, an 84-year-old man was found shot to death in Lakeview. An elderly woman was also wounded by gunfire, and police said the shooting might have been an attempted murder-suicide.
In non-fatal shootings:
• At 12:30 a.m. Friday, a 22-year-old man was shot in Englewood.
• At 9:50 p.m. Thursday, a 21-year-old man was shot in his head in Jefferson Park.
• At 9:30 p.m., a 35-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park.
• At 6:48 p.m., a 29-year-old man was shot in Roseland, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was in the 9200 block of South Perry Avenue when a car pulled up and someone got out and fired shots.
The man was hit in his back and chest. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," Amezaga said.
The shooter got back into the car and drove off, Amezaga said.
• At 4:55 p.m., a shooting in Chicago Lawn left three people wounded.
• At 9:44 a.m., a shooting in Little Village wounded two men.
No one was in custody in these shootings.
Also, a state police-involved shooting left two men wounded on the South Side late Thursday.
