Englewood Shooting Wounds Man, 22, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in West Englewood left a 22-year-old man wounded early Friday, police said.

At 12:30 a.m., a woman was standing in the street in the 7100 block of South Paulina Street when someone walked up to her and fired shots, police said. The 22-year-old man was hit as he ran away.

The man was shot in his ankle and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
