PORTAGE PARK — The timeless tale of a young farmer who trades a few magic beans and comes face to face with a giant will come to life on the Stahl Family Theater stage this fall and winter.
The production of "Jack and the Beanstalk" from Chicago Kids Co. is a one-hour musical adaptation based on the classic fable.
The Stahl Family Theater is inside St. Patrick High School at 5900 W. Belmont Ave. and has free parking.
Performances will take place at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 27-28; Nov. 2-3, Nov. 8-9, Nov. 11, Nov. 15-16, Nov. 18, Nov. 21-23, Jan. 18-20, Jan. 25-27, Feb. 1-3, Feb. 7-10, Feb. 14-17, Feb. 20-23, Feb. 28 and March 1. Performances will also take place at 1 p.m. Nov. 12 and Feb. 25, organizers said.
