LINCOLN PARK — Floriole Cafe and Bakery hasn't forgotten its roots.
Typically open for lunch/brunch, the cafe, at 1220 W. Webster Ave., hosts a special dinner each month using fresh ingredients from Lincoln Park's Green City Market, which is where it operated as a stand before becoming a brick-and-mortar restaurant.
This month's installment, dubbed "Sunday Supper," is set for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 28. It costs $30 per guest.
The dinner includes three courses: The first course is cucumber ribbons with cherry tomatoes, corn and pepper vin; the second course is corn risotto with goat cheese-filled squash blossoms and corn puree; and the third course is corn custard tart with rosemary caramel corn garnish.
Floriole became a brick-and-mortar restaurant in 2010 after five years of selling French pastries to patrons at Green City Market.
The "Sunday Supper" series has been going strong since 2014.
