NORTH CENTER — Ever wondered what a bar would say if its walls could talk?

In the case of the Horseshoe, the answer is surprising.

Demolition of the bar, 4115 N. Lincoln Ave., revealed a pair of "ghost murals" painted on the bricks of the Horseshoe's neighboring buildings.

The brightly colored images are titled "Garden" and "Easy Rider," the latter no doubt a reference to the Easy Rider bike shop next door.

After the death of Mohammed "Mike" Masud, who owned the Horseshoe and Easy Rider, the buildings were sold earlier this year.

In their place, a developer is planning a new $1 million, four-story building that will include six condos and ground-floor commercial space.
