11 Wounded In Citywide Shootings Since Monday Morning, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shootings on the city's South and West Side left 11 people wounded, including a 15-year-old boy, between Monday morning and Tuesday morning, police said.

• Most recently, at 3:57 a.m. Tuesday, a man was shot in his leg in Humboldt Park.

• Also at 3:57 a.m., an unidentified man in his 20s was found lying in the 3800 block of West Roosevelt Road in North Lawndale with a gunshot wound in his back, according to a police report.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

• At 1:48 a.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Little Village.

• At 12:45 a.m., an 18-year-old man was standing in the 2100 block of South Harding Avenue in North Lawndale when three men walked up and shot at him, police said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his groin, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• At 12:10 a.m., a 21-year-old woman was standing with a group in the 5100 block of South Hermitage Avenue in Back of the Yards when shots rang out and she realized she'd been struck in her right foot, police said.

The woman was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where she was listed in good condition, police said.

• At 10:05 p.m. Monday night, three teenagers were walking in an alley near the 200 block of East 48th Street in Bronzeville when a man wearing a white T-shirt shot at them, police said.

A 15-year-old boy was shot in his back and taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

An 18-year-old man was brought to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed as "stable" with a gunshot wound in his left shoulder.

Another 18-year-old man refused medical attention for a graze wound in his back, police said.

Police said the shooting appeared to be gang-related.

• At 3:05 p.m. Monday, a 19-year-old man was riding a bicycle in the 10100 block of South Avenue L in East Side when shots rang out and he was struck in his stomach, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man brought himself to Trinity Hospital and he was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was considered "stable," Sweeney said.

• At 2:45 p.m., a 28-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in Humboldt Park.

• At 10 a.m. Monday morning, a 43-year-old man was shot in his shoulder and both legs in the 1000 block of South Sacramento Avenue in North Lawndale, Sweeney said.

The man brought himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was unknown, Sweeney said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member and a convicted felon.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings, police said.
