ASHBURN — Denzell Mickiel, 24, died after being shot on the Southwest Side on Monday evening, police said.
At 7:43 p.m., Mickiel was shot in his arm, neck and the side of his face in the 3200 block of West 83rd Street, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police spokesman.
Mickiel was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Gaines said.
Mickiel, of the 7000 block of South Honore, was pronounced dead at 8:20 p.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. An autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
Police said the man was a documented gang member.
Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.
