CHICAGO — Shootings throughout the city claimed eight lives and left 44 other people wounded since Friday afternoon, according to police.

Two people were killed and four were wounded Sunday into Monday, police said.

A 25-year-old man was killed in West Town early Monday, police said. An East Garfield Park attack left a man in his 30s dead, police said.

• Most recently, a 26-year-old man was wounded in a Brighton Park shooting, police said.

• At 1 a.m. Monday, a 21-year-old man was wounded in a North Lawndale shooting, police said.

The man was walking in the 4000 block of West Grenshaw Street when shots rang out, police said. He was struck in his left arm and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

• A 20-year-old man was shot in Archer Heights late Sunday, police said.

• A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a Washington Park shooting Sunday night, police said.

Two people were killed and 24 others wounded on Saturday, and four were killed and 16 wounded in shootings Friday.
