CHICAGO — The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for an area that covers some of the city's South Side Friday.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to produce 2-4 inches of rain in the region, causing isolated areas of heavy and flash flooding, the weather service said. Drivers are urged to use caution traveling in these areas.
The flash flood warning is scheduled to last until 10:45 p.m., the National Weather Service said.
